Why you should get out of the 9-5 lifestyle as soon as possible.

I was so naive when I first got my job in 2017. I was a freshman in college with no car no money, so I had no choice. my first job I applied to work at was a pizza joint and when I first got the job, I was so happy, I felt as if I conquered the world. the first 2-3 years was not so bad. the majority of people I had worked with was amazing and eventually started I climbed up to a manager position. of course you have your bad days but that with any job. it wasn’t a too bad of a job at least that’s what I thought.

In 2019 one of the company stores was going through reconstruction, so the company decided to merge two of the same pizza joint restaurants together until the store was done getting built. that is when things started to take the turn for the worse. because of lack of help, people started quitting and even my boss at the time left. I was close to leaving because it was too much but I stayed because I had no money coming in. when the merge was done things went back to normal (kinda).

2020 when COVID hit I started to realize how much the company I worked for did not care for their workers. I came to find out I was exposed to COVID multiple times by some co workers. luckily I did not catch it, but the company I worked for do not offer any sort of sick leave if you had it. you would have to stay in quarantine without pay. so thats two or more weeks with no pay even if you had caught COVID on the job.

food/retail workers are probably the most mistreated people in the work place. customers treat you like you’re their slaves, higher ups disrespect you for fun, I can go on and on why the 9-5 lifestyle is not what it cracked up to be. I been at my 9-5 since 2017 because it was the only thing bringing in money for me we are taught in school to go to school and get a job, but you are going to have to work while you are in school if you are poor or middle class if you want to survive. so why leave the 9-5 lifestyle?

You have 0 control on your money

when you get your paycheck its a good feeling, until you see the pay stub. you don’t get to take home the full amount of your paycheck because of taxes. yup, you are taxed for the hard work you do.

you are over worked and underpaid

2021 because of the pandemic we was going through a labor shortage, which means workers get have to take on 2-3 men jobs and work excruciating hours. I would pull 50+ hours a week because we did not have anyone to help so I would be at the store close to sunrise since I work third shift. many of my co workers complained about how short staffed and underpaid we were. the higher ups waited until half our staff left to give everyone $1-$2 raises. can you believe that?

Sometimes the job has little to no benefits

not only the company I worked for did not offer any sick leave, there are no paid time off or paid vacations.

my advice to you if you are in the situation like I was four years ago with no money and you don’t have a choice but to get a job, is to learn how to sell and invest. if you don’t learn to have money work for you, you will work for money for the rest of your life. unless you plan on making it your career, use the money from your 9-5 to invest with and GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE! I was told from a higher up that EVERYONE is replaceable so they could care less about you!

if you are looking for something where you have control over your money, you are not over worked or under paid and benefits contact me. I will personally hold your hand until where you want to be.
